GUILTY OF PLENTY

A man was filling out a job application when he came to the question " Have you ever been arrested?" He wrote , "No." The next question intended for people who had answered "Yes" to the previous question, was "Why" The applicant answered it anyway : "I never got caught" .
So was the apostle Paul. He knew he had personally done wrong and sinned against God. He wrote , "I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man" (1 Tim.1:13) He even called himself the chief of sinners.
Just like Paul and the person applying in the story, we are too are guilty of plenty. In our mind, eyes, mouth, actions. But thank be to God, because His grace and mercy is overflowing in mankind.Every time we confess our sins and acknowledged our need for forgiveness, He cleansed us and make us new.
"Grace are for those who deserve nothing". (ODB)

Amen to this. The grace of God is unlimited and can erase the blackest of sin. We only have to humble ourselves before God and invite Christ into our lives. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.
