Last night I was glued in front of the television while watching the hostage drama in Quirino Grandstand in Manila. A tour bus having a passengers of Hongkong nationals was hostage by a former police officer , who were dismissed on duty because of administrative cases that involves him. While watching the live telecast of the rescue operation of assigned policemen in that area, I could not hide  my dismay to the assigned policemen to rescue the victims. After the exchanging of gun shoot from the hostage taker and the sheriff , It was reported that 15 and up dead bodies were recover. A very sad story, that  if only the authorities managing that hostage come up with a peaceful plan to rescue the victims, I'm sure more lives will be save than wasted.
On the other hand, Ms. Universe 2010 was held this morning at Mandalay hotel. Venus Raj, from Philippines was made it to top 5, but was not able to take home the crown. It was Ms. Mexico - Jimena Navarrete who won the prestigious pageant in Earth. 1st runner up was Ms. Jamaica -Yendi Phillipps , 2nd runner up is Ms. Australia -Jesinta Campbell , 3rd is Ms. Ukraine -Anna Poslavska and Venus Rah on 4th place.

Yes, that was a very unfortunate incident that was watched all over the world. The placing of Venus Raj at fifth in the Miss Universe Beauty pageant was a blessing in disguise. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.
