IN-GROWN HURTS

Me and my friend decided to visit a salon near our area to have some make over and some finishes over our usual appearance. The hair cutter gave me a new look, he put some style on my long hair and I like the outcome after doing the job in my hair, I feel good about it. Since I am having an issue with my hair 2 weeks ago, when I found out that I have split ends in some strands of my hair I started to freak out and feel uncomfortable. But because of my tight schedule the fast few weeks I didn't make it to the salon until yesterday.

Every time I go to the parlor with friends ,relatives or even I myself alone, I never feel like trusting my nails in the manicurist. I got traumatized with all the girls I know who go to the parlor and have their nails clean and got murdered by the staff's doing the job. Oh no. I could still picture their faces after their in-grown was removed with pains.  Yesterday, I saw that incident again happened with my friend. I was with her side, I saw my friend unintentionally pushed the girl cleaning her nail toe because she was hurt. I told her to  instruct the girl to put some extra care in cleaning her nails. I am also having my toe nail cleaned but I strictly instructed the lady not to removed any in-grown from my nails. Luckily, I was satisfied by her work, but not my friend.

I think, it's still best to clean and polished our own nails to avoid any complained. But since we can't do it on our own because of our tight schedules, we owe ourselves a pamper from spa salon but sometimes instead of getting the service we wanted we end up frowning. So I guess its very important to choose a parlor that has no records of giving their clients a nail cuts and injuries.

Me myself stop going to the salon for my nails, aside that its expensive here in the states I had a trauma every time I went to the salon there was always an in-grown and believe me mine was worst...I used to have vain nails but I rather keep it simple now. So far so good....I just cut and brush it....now its more natural and fresh...I am happy!

To avoid ingrown toe nails, just cut the nails straight across. The top of the nail should make a straight line. :)

I prefer to do my own nail at home, Yen. I don't want any manicure. When I read this, I think I would never do manicure again in the salon. I don't need it :)

I have ingrown problems too and I am used to going the salons when I was still in the Philippines but here in the US it is ridiculously expensive.. So I only go when I really need to... I just clean in myself if I can't go to the salon.. It's so nice to be pampered once in awhile...
