Talking about people? Yes. We all love to. This is not wrong. But of course, we start talking about science, then end up talking about the scientist; we talk about art, then about the artist's wife; we begin talking about religion and end up talking about the priest's personal life. Talking about people is not all wrong, but where and how it ends up decides whether it is a simple talk or just a plain gossip.
It is the lips of the liar that conceal hostility, but he who spreads accusation is a fool. Where words are many, sin is not wanting but he who restrains his lips, does well. Like choice silver is the just man's tongue, the heart of the wicked is of little worth.(Pro 10:18-20)
